Mastering Resilience: Thrive in a Changing Climate with These Tips
There is so much change on the horizon. Constantly facing the questionable future. We all hold some hope for improvement and possibly the fear of the worst. Some of us are more optimistic than others about the future. Some are very skeptical of our global climate. In this share I willingly give insights for resilience to change and how to make the best decisions for ourselves to create a more beautiful future.
Facing change in climate
Facing change is essential. You know change is the only constant. So why do you ever run from it? What if you embraced the change? Would an attitude of embrace release the threat of attack? Could you mentally prepare yourself for what is to come in a way that offers itself to resilience? Denying the facts of climate change is not making the environment more resilient, or your' home more healthy. It is ignorant of the dynamic nature of reality. No matter the causes, there is environmental change and increasing risks to ecosystems.
Facing the unexpected is a game of trust.
The deeper you can allow the trust to go the more your mind and body will relax. You may have felt the mental cramp of guessing at what the future holds. Or the false relief of knowing what comes next based on what someone else has said. Whether that be the news, a YouTube channel, a friend, family, stranger, or trusted teacher. The world is always in flux and it is our collective decisions that shape our destiny. If you can trust that beyond your human scope of reality there is a much greater order than we can perceive. This doesn't mean just go back to sleep and go along with it all. It means take the edge off the emotional heart and get your boots on, trust in your power as an integral part of this Universe and get to work.
Shaping our collective destiny comes from each of our choices.
The media has sought to control what becomes our choices. In this globalized economy we are spoon fed ideas and choices that ultimately feel the pockets of the greedy. This is the revolving door or the medical- industrial and military-industrial systems. Through the false perception that we only have the choices shown on TV, and social media, given by the corporate entities we are funneled into a paradigm or indentured servitude. This is how few control the many. But there is hope for you to liberate your consciousness, your community, our country and the globe. And this is maybe where I slide to the optimistic side, but as my greatest role model so simply said, do not despair.
Saving the seed
This is the key message of my role model, Dr. Vandana Shiva. She is a PhD is physics and specialized in quantum theory following the footsteps of her role model, Einstien. In all her studies and throughout her life path she found saving the seeds, particularly heirloom, organic, and biodiverse seed is our greatest gift to the future generations. In my path from Environmental Sciences to Chinese Medicine I deeply believe this to be true. No matter what the future holds if we save some seeds and share those seeds, we saved and shared life. Given that the soil and water has to be in a healthy state to grow food we must protect our natural resources from greed and extortion. This goes back to the unwinding work of decolonization and stripping away the idea that a dollar value can be placed on a forest or river. We have to know what we stand for to determine where we are going.
What happens next is in your hands
The industrial world will seek to devalue your hands. But you have the power to create in your hands. Leaving the power dynamic of problem-solution. Step into the creative. We can co-create a more beautiful and balanced world. In the creative process it all begins with a vision. Carry this vision with responsibility and with care. All beginnings are small and often made in the dark, like a seed. In your own mind, from the silent darkest depth comes forth the Truth. As the proverb goes, " Three things will always be revealed, the sun, the moon, and the truth." From that deepest Truth we cannot escape the interconnection of life. Think about where the world needs your energy and make the choices to support a more beautiful future even just one small act, like saving seeds.
On a personal note.
What happens next for me is a lot of travel, and a move to Taos, NM. A land I have visited nearly weekly for sweat lodge for 6 years. Sitting with my friends on the Pueblo has been transformative. This is a very personal part of my journey that I hold sacred and close to my heart. I only share now because my path with the Native American people has grown so much more significant to me than ever before. I am currently traveling to South Dakota to support my uncle in Sundance for a week.
I will only be offering Acupuncture, Herbalism, and Asian Bodywork at my office in Santa Fe for a few more weeks in August. Please book online while you can if you're interested. Starting in October I will be offering my one-on-one services in Taos, NM.
Then I will be launching my Yoga Teacher Training program for a 200 hr RYT certification. Spanning over 6-months with payment plans and two scholarships to remain accessible. We will move through an embodied experience of becoming an incredible teacher from a decolonized and trauma informed approach. With open shares and insights from my 12 years of teaching experience and 16 years of study.
This fall I will offer the annual Fall Cleanse with one week and two-week options. This is a group experience that can be shared from the comfort of your home. With personalized guidance from my background study and experience in Pancha Karma cleanses, Chinese Medicine and herbalism.
Thank you for taking the time to tune in.
I would love to hear from YOU.
